Georgetown Fishing Derby
So. Lake Tahoe Fishing Derby

There are many opportunities to fish in the Eldorado National Forest offers opportunities to fish in El Dorado County.There are coldwater reservoirs, most with developed boating access ramps and campgrounds. Hundreds of lakes lie within Desolation Wilderness for your
backpacking enjoyment. About 60 of these lakes are stocked with trout by Fish & Game, and several rivers are stocked with catchable trout.

Local students work along side fishery biologists and hydrologists as they help with Stream Monitoring in the Eldorado National Forest.
